Aha! Adventure
Frenchman River, SK

April 26- May 2, 2026

Start your paddling season off with this early canoe trip and explore Grasslands National Park in southern Saskatchewan. This Park is unique and breathtaking as you look across a sea of grass, observe the prairie dogs, and watch the buffalo and antelope roam.  It’s easy to imagine what it would have been like before the settlers came and bison roamed free on the open range.

Aha! Adventures
Wapiskau River to Kettle Falls on the Churchill River, SK
June 26- July 11, 2026

This adventurous route takes you on 3 rivers and a few interesting lakes.  We start on Brabant Lake which has rock and sandy beaches.  From there we enter the Wapiskau River which has many beautiful waterfalls with short portages and a few easy rapids. After the Wapiskau, we will paddle down the larger Reindeer River to the Churchill River.  On the Churchill we will stop at Kettle Falls and spend a few days to end our trip in one of my favorite places on the Churchill.  This spot has it all!  A beautiful rocky campsite looking out to Kettle Falls, fantastic fishing and fun whitewater channels to play in when you need a break from fishing or relaxing in your hammock.  There is something for everyone on this trip.

Aha! Adventure
Mountain River, NWT
August 15- Sept 2, 2026

The Mountain River is a favorite for seasoned northern canoeists.  Known for its fun whitewater, big waves and spectacular narrow canyons, this is a bucket list trip.  With stunning mountain scenery, hiking and strong current, this river will keep you engaged from the start to the end.  We have a good chance of seeing Dall Sheep, caribou, wolves and bear along the river. We will have the opportunity to hike to tufa mounds and along alpine ridges when we need a break from the exhilarating whitewater.

Aha! Adventure
Kootenay River, BC
Turkey in the Woods!
Oct 2-4, 2026

This is the perfect way to end the canoe season with a “turkey in the woods” on the Kootenay.  The Kootenay’s water is beautiful and clear in the fall and we may even see Kokanee salmon in the depths. The mountain scenery, rapids and white canyon walls makes this trip a classic that you could paddle every year.  Join us on this fantastic trip to wrap up the season.
