Wild and Free Teens- A Deep Adventure Whitewater Challenge for teens 15-17

Dates: Aug 6-11, 2024

Location: Champagne Island and Barker Lake whitewater

Cost: $675 (includes food)

Calling all teens to explore what is calling them to deeper living and what it means to live in freedom.  Go into the wild to discover who you are meant to be! We will paddle the Churchill to the Champagne Islands and do the loop into Barker Lake to learn some whitewater canoe skills. This trip has it all from lake paddling, white-water fun, portaging and fantastic camping on the Canadian shield.  We will have time to swim, fish and learn new skills with an encouraging and fun group.

The Deep Adventure Trips bring faith into the wilderness experience. This will include devotionals, prayer, testimonials and deep conversation around the fire. You do not have to have any faith background to participate or join the Deep Adventure trips.  It is good to hear everyone's story and learn from each other.

You will receive a detailed email with all the information needed for preparing and planning for your trip.  If you have any additional questions, please contact Ang at 306-212-0115 or email

Food: We include food on our Deep Adventure trips.  Please let us know if you have any food allergies upon registration. All participants will take their turn helping their leaders cook breakfasts and suppers on the trips.

Cancellation Policy:  A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to register. The balance is due 30 days before the trip start date. No refunds on or after this date.

Prerequisites: Anyone who feels unqualified or has doubts and fears – just be ready to dive in! No experience necessary.  Instructors can teach you what you need to know on your trip.

Aug 6: We will meet at the Youth Farm Bible Camp (YFBC) at Rosthern, SK at 8am to pack up our gear and van. Please pack a lunch for the drive from home. We can also stop to purchase food in La Ronge on the way up. We will travel to Barker Lake (about 4 hours) and put on the water in the afternoon.
