Men's Canoe Trip

Trip: Churchill River- Barker Lake Whitewater Area

Dates: Sept 26-29, 2025

Cost: $525 (food included)

This is an introductory trip to paddle whitewater, portage, fish and camp with a great group of guys.  We will paddle into Barker Lake on the Churchill River system and stay 3 nights. This is a beginner trip to learn river skills and have a chance to relax with all the meals provided.  Challenge yourself and push your canoeing skills with a fun group in God’s creation.  All men, boys and grandpas are invited!

The Deep Adventure Trips bring faith into the wilderness experience. This will include devotionals, prayer, testimonials and deep conversation around the fire. You do not have to have any faith background to participate or join the Deep Adventure trips.  It is good to hear everyone's story and learn from each other.

You will receive a detailed email with all the information needed for preparing and planning for your trip.  If you have any additional questions, please contact Ang at 306-212-0115 or email ang@yfbc.ca

** Location subject to change if there are wildfires in the area or if we are unable to access the location due to fires.  If that happens, we will find a plan B that as similar to plan A as we can, and still get out canoeing to another fantastic location.

Food: We include food on our Deep Adventure trips.  Please let us know if you have any food allergies upon registration.

Cancellation Policy:  A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to register. The balance is due 30 days before the trip start date. No refunds on or after this date.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION AND TRIP CANCELLATION: In rare cases, if you have an emergency and need to be evacuated from the trip, you will be responsible for any extra charges.  The quickest way to get off our remote trips is via floatplane or helicopter and if we contact these companies directly for the quickest service, you will be responsible for the expense.  To ensure that there are no surprises, we recommend that you get evacuation insurance.  An evacuation could be very costly in remote locations, so we recommend that you are covered through your credit card or another plan.  One option available is Tugo Insurance at:  https://www.tugo.com/en/travel-insurance/canadians/.  You may also want to consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance if for some reason (i.e. illness) you are unable to go on the trip.  If cancellation is required at the last minute, you will need to have trip cancellation insurance. This will protect yourself and Aha! Adventures and allow us to offer great trips into the future.
